Greetings, and welcome to KaCee Boxers, Ocala, Florida, home to Karen and Craig Suarez and our boxers, Skylar, Katie and Maggie.

Located in central Florida amidst rolling hills scattered with granddaddy oaks and thoroughbred horse farms, Ocala truly is “heaven on earth.”

Since my husband Craig had been surrounded by boxers his entire youth, it was inevitable that one be added to our growing family. We found Rocky, a handsome red puppy, and it didn’t take long for him to become a household fixture – attached to me like Velcro. I was smitten.

When we lost Rocky at age 10 to congestive heart failure, I told everyone there would be no more dogs, as it was too difficult to lose one.

Eight weeks later, a telephone call to Pat Mullen of the Tampa Bay Boxer Club, and I was ogling over a new litter of boxer puppies bred by Dianna Helmke of Oakwood Boxers.

Enter Charlie Brown! With Charlie, I was introduced to the world of dog shows, conformation training, the boxer standard, and health testing…what I refer to as a true “boxer obsession.”

Skylar followed after Charlie, then Katie and most recently Maggie, our little Brit, imported from Faerdorn Kennels, UK via Kti Jensen of Global Boxers.

While we truly enjoy showing our boxers in conformation and showcasing their accomplishments, this is only a small part of our ownership. Our dogs are an integral part of our daily lives and are considered our four-legged children.

We adhere to Dr Jean Dodds DVM vaccination protocol and feed a raw diet of ground beef, bison, chicken, fish and bones, along with fresh chopped/pureed vegetables and supplements.

Since feeding our girls a raw diet, we have experienced little to no illness, healthy shiny coats, cleaner teeth, fresher breath, and more energy and alertness. Along with their healthy diet and limited vaccines, our boxers are also tested for thyroid, hips, and heart at appropriate ages.
