Skylar came to us from Sarah South of Backwoods
Boxers. With a wonderful
temperament, sound and correct structure and all the
silly boxer antics, Skylar was a welcome addition to
our home.
Our then current resident boxer, Charlie,
immediately took Skylar under his wing and with his
firm guidance she quickly matured into a charming and
well-mannered young lady.
Quite the little actress, Skylar utilized all her charm
to capture the attention of numerous show-goers,
including many of the judges to whom she was shown. Her
melodramatic head-tilts along with her flirtatious expression
earned Skye the affectionate title of ‘Drama Queen,’ and
at five years of age, she is still proudly wearing
her tiara.
Finishing her championship with 3 majors and 18 points,
Skye made it all look so easy, often taking BOS
over specials. Jack Brown handled Skye for her first
six points and Kay Palade-Peiser showed her through to
her championship.
Retired from the ring and quite satisfied with
the role of head matriarch, Skye writes the rules
of the house and runs a pretty tight ship. We,
her staff, along with Katie and Maggie, are ever
attuned to her needs and desires.
